BUCKS SCHOOLS TRACK & FIELD CHAMPS 2019
The weather was not very kind, but this did not stop some great performances, and I am pleased to report that there were some new County Best Performances.
Ayomide Fatoki Year 7 Boys 100m taking 0.3 off the previous best from 13.0s to 12.7s
Ayesha Jones adding an amazing 5m30cm to the previous best in the Year 7 Girls Javelin with 30.96m
Serena Gueye equalling Habee Folamis long standing record of 12.5s
Chishom Nwafor breaking a 16 year old performance adding an incredible 74cm to the Junior Girls Shot 12.15m
Lara Moffat taking her Milton Keynes team mates Hammer performance from 50.00m to 52.17m
Emlila Rock taking the record in the first running of this new event for Junior Girls 300m 40.7s

The Buckinghamshire Cross Country Team 2019
There were some excellent performances at this years English Schools Cross Country Champs, once again held at Temple Newsam Park, Leeds on March 16th.
Notable performances were from the Junior Girls who came 5th out of 45 counties, Abbie Henderson 11th, Holly Henderson 17th and Sonja de Koning 33rd. Kirsten Stilwell 28th in the Inter Girls. The Girls aggregate team came a very creditable 5th.

Buckinghamshire Team return from the English Schools armed with medals and PB's.
38 Buckinghamshire athletes represented the Association at the English Schools Champs on July 13/14th in Birmingham, full results can be found on http://www.esaa.net/v2/2018/tf/national/results/tf2018-a4results-withpoints.pdf
Temi Ojora English Schools Champion in the High Jump with a very close final with the top 2 jumping 1.75m, winning on countback. Temi also breaks the record at an English Schools from Octavia Cavill in 2015 from 1.71m to 1.75m, well done to her.
Lara Moffat silver medallist in the hammer with a massive PB of 49.95m (was 48.15m). Lara also now holds the County record at an English Schools
Bronze medallist Tim Penley in the Junior Boys Pole Vault with another massive 35cm PB it was 3m10 now 3.45m remarkable vault.
Other Great Performances
Moyin Oduyemi finished in 4th in the 100m final taking her 2017 PB of 12.47 down to 12.42.
Abby Masquelier did a double PB, finishing 3rd in her first round heat in the 75 metre hurdles with a 11.46, and then in the semi's bringing it down to 11.36s. Abby also takes the County record at an English Schools from 11.46 to 11.36s.
Cameron Reid another with a PB from 1:57.04 to 1:56.21 in his first round heat taking him into the final where he finished a very creditable 5th.
Ethan Wiltshire looked like he was destined for a medal in the Inter Boys 200m, he had the fastest time going into the Semi's with a 21.97s PB, but unfortunately he damaged his toe in the semi's and had to withdraw after qualifying in his semi with another great run of 21.98, hopefully this will improve soon. Ethan also broke the County Best Performance at an English Schools, so very well done to him, an awesome performance.
Great performances also from the two Inter Boys Steeplechasers, Ben Hope and Max Nicolle finishing 7th and 8th, Max took his PB down from 4 :43.48 down to 4:36.97.
Lily Holt equalled her High Jump PB in the Inter Girls, narrowly missing out on a new PB of 1.69m, she has another year in this age group and can build on her great 6th performance.
Eva Durand finished in 7th in the Junior Girls Javelin.
Inter Sam Featherstone equalled his PB of 1.92m in the High Jump, finishing in a brilliant 5th place.
Molly Jones ran another ES Standard in the 3,000m and finished in a great 6th place.
Shawn Ampofo jumped himself into 8th place in the Triple Jump just short of his PB of 12.40m
